Login Scripts

by bnizer . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

We have two locations that are currently connected through a private T1 line with one location having a MIS connection. To save money, we?re dropping the Private T1 and implementing an MIS connection at each location. Each location will be able totalk via VPN (PIX firewall on each end).

We?ll be implementing a Terminal Services Client on each users PC (Windows 2000 workstations) to access a UNIX server for accounting and sales as well as the Terminal Server (Windows 2000 Server) for MS Office applications (mainly Outlook). Each user has to log into our domain and authenticate on our PDC or BDC. Once logged in, they also have to log into the Terminal Server Client. We would like to enable a login script that will authenticate theuser on the PDC (or BDC) and Terminal Server at the same time. Essentially the user would log in directly into Terminal Services without seeing their local desktop. Any ideas? Thank you.
