Looking for a Dock for My Mac mini M4 — Beelink Mate mini Any Good?

    Hi everyone,

I just bought my first Mac mini M4 Pro recently, and now I’m looking for a good dock to go with it. One thing I’ve noticed is that not having any USB-A ports is a bit inconvenient for me — I still use a non-Apple mouse and keyboard (Apple’s peripherals are a bit pricey for me 😅).

Yesterday, I came across this Beelink Mate mini 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 Dock. It’s still on pre-order, but it looks really promising. It has a Thunderbolt 5 port, two USB-A ports (which solves my main issue), and even offers two storage expansion models to choose from. From what I can tell, the specs seem solid, and compared to other brands offering Thunderbolt 5, the price doesn’t seem too high for what you’re getting.

Has anyone else looked into this dock? Do you think it’s worth getting? Would love to hear your thoughts before I make the purchase!

    Thanks in advance!

How about using a USB-A to USB-C converter cable or adaptor? You can buy them everywhere today.

USB A & B are mostly dead technology with most modern technology devices. USB C is currently the latest/greatest and there will be converters available to allow compatibility for years to come. Even modern iPhones/tablets have stopped selling with the old Firewire ports and gone to USB C. Google Search is your friend, don’t hesitate to use it since it requires no additional cost or license.
