Looking for a way to use print screen

By zlitocook ·
In XP PRO workstation. We are migrating 400 users from NT workstations to XP PRO and some of the funtions are lost:) Most we can work around but a few need to use print screen to save and index what they are doing. Is there a funtion in XP that willdo this?

Looking for a way to use print screen

Print screen works the same way in XP as it has before. When you hit the Print Screen key, the entire window is captured and help on the clipboard. You must now open some other program like Word or Wordpad and Paste it in.
If you just want to capture the active window or dialog box, use Alt+Print Screen.
The term "Print" is misleading. The capture is sent to the clipboard not the printer.

If you don't want to capture it to the clipboard and past it into another program there are a number of utilities that will let you do this automatically. I use PrintKey Pro but ScreenHunter (http://www.ukdownloads.net/graphicsStoZ.html) and PrintDesktop (http://www.printdesktop.com/)are good too.

Enjoy,
