Looking for Android SSH/Telnet Reccomendations
I’m not sure if this should be under the Security boards or under Software, so please move if incorrect.
I work in the IT department for a warehousing company. We have many branches and locations, and we use Telnet and SSH on our scanners/tablets. We currently use Windows but our boss wants us to switch everything to Android.
So – now I need a Telnet and SSH Client software that runs on Android devices. I am very familiar with the Windows servers but not Android. The Android world is new to me.
What is my best route? Any software recommendations? Is opensource SSH the best way to go? Or are there any commercial Telnet/SSH Clients that run on Android that are worth it? My concern with open-source is the amount of time that it will take to make it exactly what we need and customized for us specifically. Thoughts?
Any pros/cons/tips are greatly appreciated. We are just trying to gather information at this point to figure out the best route to go.
