Looking for DRP tool that shows disaster impact
===============================================
Hi,
I'm working on a disaster recovery plan for my company.
I have started to make some development on Excel because until now I have not find any tool using my approach.
My Excel file describes the IT environment through a CMDB ITIL database
For example :
SWITCH1 (room1) <====> SERVER1 (room1) <====> APPLICATION1 ====> disaster_fix_document_1
|
|
SWICTH2 (room2) <====> SERVER2 (room2) <====> APPLICATION1 ====> disaster_fix_document_1
SERVER3 (room2) <====> APPLICATION2 ====> disaster_fix_document_2
Then we play a scenario : For instance A disaster occurs in room 1
Some macros then shows me on Excel that APPLICATION1 is OK but APPLICATION2 has been impacted by the disaster ; and to apply the "disaster_fix_document2" to fix the problem.
Today I have heard about the ITManage (Atlas+Phenix) from the the French "CAPELLA Conseil" company , who seems to have applied more or less this approach.
Furtheremore what is interesting is thta it seems this tool can be kept on an USB key.
(see http://www.capella-conseil.com/images/itmanage/itm_pra_pres_comm_v1.1.pdf)
I'd like to know if on of you would have heard about
- some other tool that would do the same thing and follow a similar DRP approach ?
- this ITManage (Atlas+Phenix) CAPELLA's tool ?
Thanks for your answer
Didier
