I’m currently looking for free or opensource software that would give me the functionality to bulk send direct messages to people and group pages for Facebook.

You might want to know why. It’s because Facebook changes their interface often enough that the tool would need constant updates. At some point the people who wrote it have to make money and the tool dies.

Also, if it’s worth doing, it’s worth paying for it.

While I know what you asked, I have never used them. You should try the ones you find with google and see which one is best for you along with the price.
