Looking for Wifi VoIP no contract cell phones

    Locked

    by techeads anonymous ·

Does anyone know of a lowcost, no contact cellphone that can be used with WiFi netoworks? I want something that can access hotspots and 2G,3G,4G only if required.

Also, for what its worth, I found a link in the TechRepublic forums for voip-news dot com submitNewsletter (Using Wireless VoIP for Business As we enter a new era of business collaboration solutions, take advantage of convenient wireless voice over IP phones for low-cost communication. And after furnishing my email and other data was informed: “We’re sorry, the page you requested no longer exists”).
So much for help from VoIP-News!

Would a Skype phone accomplish what you want? They’re fairly inexpensive and readily available.

Any mobile network will charge (either some monthly plan or based on usage or a combination.) Furthermore, some operators will do whatever they can to make limit your access to voip.

You can find skype-phones with wifi connection, though. I you’d like to use at my home, then be warned that it can take you 4-5 minutes to enter the lan password, which consists of 63 printable ascii characters. 🙂
