Lotus Notes 5.08 archive viewer

By tbraquet ·
I recently left my job and made a copy of my Lotus Notes 5.08 archive file. I need to know if there is program out there that will let me view my archive file. It is in the *.nsf format.

You could try downloading the odbc driver and using, say, Access.
I don't know of a nsf viewer myself.
use 'odbc driver' for search term
also consider downloading the trial notes client available there. maybe it can do it.

The odbc driver did not help but the trial download did the trick. Thanks

I ran into the same thing! I had a good copy of notes, installed it on my home system and attempted to open the archived copy. It failed looking for the notes server. It would not open it without seeing the expeted Notes server...

I'll keep wathcing this thread, I might have a Douh moment in a few posts....

I used the suggestion from the other guy sgt_shultz. I down loaded a trial version. When I installed it, it gave me the option to not have a server I used that option and was able to read all my archives just like having Notes. You may want to try that!
