Lotus Notes “Object variable not set”

We are using Lotus Domino v5 and the clients were 5.10. On new PCs we are installing Notes client v6. On a PC swap, we copy over the id file and names.nsf. However, when the user on new v6 install tries to open e-mail he gets “object variable not set” . I have tried applying the v6 address book template to the file but it did not work. Any suggestions?
