I am looking for a technical explenation of this solution-why did it work? What happened?
I was notified that a lotus notes client would print blank pages. All other applications print fine. Upon further investigation it was discovered that only one database on the server would print blank pages (The mail file).
I reimaged the entire system (it was due for an upgrade anyway) which also was a new installation of Lotus Notes. However, as is the practice here, I copied the user id file (private key), the names.nsf (personal address book), and the desktop5.dsk (Icon layout on the desktop).
The pages would still print out blank from that database.
Another uninstall/reinstall took place where only the user id was copied. The database could print fine, then the names.nsf was copied over after the installation was complete.
Now it prints fine. What the happened?
