m/Board upgrade SBS2003 now DHCP won’t start

by bsit1 . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

I have upgraded the motherboard, CPU RAM NICs etc, basically all new hardware in same box. The system runs but DHCP service starts then stops, DHCP Client is OK. The new NICs (2) work and clients can log in, a LAN printer is offline now, another is good. I removed and reinstalled DHCP and authourised it but the entry in the DHCP console is inactive (red cross)and it claims it can’t find it. It may be I haven’t cleaned up all NIC related material from the restore of the system to the new hardware.

Any help/insights greatly appreciated. I am new to such upgrades on SBS2003. Not sure I did everything needed. I hope to clear this up before addresses expire.
