Mac DHCP client/W2K DHCP server problems

by bad_karma . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

We have a few Mac’s on our network, and they refuse to take DHCP information properly. We are using MacOS9 with the OpenTransport update. All windows clients work fine. Sometimes a Mac will try to get an ip and leave a “bad Adress” record in the DHCP server and then it will try the whole scope leaving the DHCP server useless. Has anyone else experienced this? Another strange problem the Mac’s work fine on routable ip’s but will not even work with static private NAT ips.
