Macafee

HI evryone.I have problem with my anti virus software.The error is :Vshield error”virus data files are missing unable to scan download file”
Then I can not log off unless I use ctrl plus delete to go to task manager then I can log off.I have Macafee anti virus and windows Xp.Please help
