Question

Macros missing for adding to QAT in PowerPoint

By jd422 ·
When I open the dialog to customize the quick access toolbar (QAT), no macros from my installed addin are present.

I have Windows 10 with PowerPoint 2016 MSO (16.0.4738.1000) 32-bit.

First, nothing appeared in the projects for the addin until I edited the regeistry key as follows:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\PowerPoint\Options\DebugAddins with a value of 1.

Then, after restarting PowerPoint I tried to add a macro to the QAT but no macros from the addin were present. However, an addins toolbar created in the Auto_Open macro works just fine.

In case you're wondering, the addin originally had only one macro that would display a message box telling whether the presentation was saved or not. I added the Auto_Open macro to see if the project was really loading and running.

Note: I think this is related to a discussion closed to commenting; link as follows:

Thank you for any help.
