Mail bouncing

By amaran_a ·
My mails are getting bounced back to certain recepients indicating the following error
"Error transferring to; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 451 4.1.8 Domain of sender address does not resolve"
At the same time I have no problem in sending and receiving mails from other users.
Kindly help.

Mail bouncing

The reciepient mail server is doing a reverse DNS lookup on your mail, but it fails and is therefore returning your mail. Some mail servers are set up this way as a sort of security measure. To avoid this, you (or your ISP) need to set up a PTR record for your mail server in DNS so that your mail server's IP address can be resolved to a name.
