Mail problem

I'm getting this:
<mail address: host mail.server[66.212.x.x] said: 553 We do not
relay without RFC2554 authentication. (in reply to RCPT TO command)
Any idea's ?

The mail server has to be configured to recognize you as a legitimate account for which relaying is allowed.

So this is to do with relaying ? the domain is my own. If I send mail (externally) to (my address, hosted myself) it gets refused, the address is legit, and is for this domain so is not being forwarded, yet the message comes back. You can try it yourself. I think its authentication, but anonymous is allowed ! Internal mail works fine. Exchange 2003. Thanks for coming back. Any thoughts ?
