a. i want to setup a mail server for an existing site.
b. do i hire someone's mail server software?
c. do i put the mail server software on the same system as my web site?
d. who all offer mail servers?
e. how much traffic does a mail server hosting provider allow free of cost and how much do they charge after the limit is reached.

in all, i need a white paper on mail servers, their working and mail server providers. please respond at the earliest.

b. If you don't have a Dedicated internet
link(with static IP) , you have to.

c. yes, you can redirect your mails to someones mail server , by changing the MX record in the DNS Server

d.Search for "Internet Solutions Provider",you will get a lot.

a.You can set up a Personal Web Server.IIS
b.Talking to vendors will resolve this issue ,you will pay a license fee to use the vendors software

c.You may want to setup a server and use the vendors software
d.Third-Party IP services are offered by many vendors.
