Mail stuck in outbox
We have an intermittent problem.
When an email is sent with an attachment it sometimes remains in the outbox, but is sent, and received by the recipient every time outlook sends/receives. The mail in the outbox cannot be deleted or moved without going into safe mode.
This has been happening on one system only for the past 7 days, but today all 5 systems are suffering the same fate.
It does not happen every time. I have sent test mails in plain text, html with and without picture/doc attachments but can never relicate the problem on demand.
I have contacted the isp and have been told that it cannot be a mail server problem as ther mail server would issue an error which it has not.
I have followed the microsoft articles relating to stuck mail e.g turn off virus scanning, recreate new profile etc to no avail.
This is quite an urgent problem as the company is receiving threats to have its mail blocked from its clients servers
