I had one of my admins thinking he was doing me a favor by cleaning up the AD Users and deleted a user he had never heard of. He also makred the users Exchange mailbox for deletion. I have recreated the user in AD and want to reconnect to her old mailbox. Is there an easy way to do this with Exchange 2003?

Wrong forum

by deepsand In reply to Mailbox Reconnection

This is a tech. problem, in search of a solution.

It properly belongs in "Technical Q&A," not in "Discussions." Please re-post there.

Not only will you be more likely to attract the attention of those seeking to provide answers, but you will also make it easier for those seeking discussions to find such.

Thank you.

in several discussions.

TR makes no provision for quiding responses to article to the proper forum, with the result that they all end up in "Discussions," although many properly belong in the "Technical Q&A" forum.

TR is aware of this problem, but has shown little interest in fixing it in the near term.

So, it falls to the members to try to re-direct those posts which, through no fault of the postor, end up in the wrong place

I understand what your point was just thought the approach was a bit off. It was almost as if you were saying "I know the answer but you put it in the wrong forum so I'm not telling you." Maybe in the future offer a suggestion and in the same posting state that one may find better results in the proper forum or simply state that you don't have any suggestions but one might find an answer in the Technical Q&A forum. But who am I to judge? I mean it is obvious that I am new to this site and could be overreacting a bit. Either way...thanks for pointing me in the direction of the proper forum. In the future I'll be sure to post in the proper forum.

No matter how any of us have worded our posts re. this matter, someone has always eventually taken offense where none was intended.

I'm open to suggestions as to a universally accepted script.
