Mailing Labels

By keepbelieving ·
Hi :)
When I launch Word and click Tools/Envelopes and Labels/Select the Labels tab/Click New Document...A blank sheet appears instead of a table-like form where I can insert data.

If I try and type on the document, it acts just as a regular document set up for typing opposed to a layout with label sections.

How can this be rectified?

Sincerely,
WouldLove2Know

Are you just making labels? Then don't click New Document. Type the address in the window, then select Full Page of the Same Label or Single Label, and click Print.

Personally, I prefer to use the free Avery Label Wizard addin available at:

"When I launch Word and click Tools/Envelopes and Labels/Select the Labels tab"...

Then click on "Options" and either choose the number of the label format you are using or customize.

Sorry, I got interrupted.

You can customize in the Options section with the Make Label button.

And then click on OK and the "New Document," and the formatting of the new label should be on the sheet.

If you can't see the gridlines, go to Table>Show gridlines
