I use Windows 2000 Professional on my computer, and Internet Connection Sharing. I often have to log off my computer, which terminates the dialup connection, and therefore kills the internet for the people using it. I need to be able to change userswithout the problem of losing net connection.
To keep DUN connections active even when the user who started them has logged out, add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ Winlogon KeepRasConnections as REG_SZ. Set it to 1 and connections will stay connected when users log out; set it back to 0 to enable the standard NT 4.0 behavior of automatically disconnecting DUN.
But that doesn’t particularly help with Windows 2000 Profesional. Can anyone help me? Thank You in Advance.
