Make the DR case to management

Has your company rejected a disaster recovery solution you proposed? Did you present as much data as you could during the proposal? Did you take steps to prepare for the potential backlash of a failed solution? Just the opposite with me

by ExcitingMike In reply to Make the DR case to manag ...

About a year ago the GM came to me, the "IT guy" and asked me to draw up plans for a disaster/recovery situation. We're a small manufacturing org. my first question to him was, "does everyone else in the organization have such a plan or will my dept. be the only one?". No one else did, nor do they now. Yet, I went ahead and did a least-expensive to very-expensive plan, still in the development. I found this method to be very usefull since I could present a scalable plan to upper management and let them decide how far(and how many $$$) they want to go with.
