I’m trying to make a use of my old smart phones by making the almost seamlessly work together so I can make a fully functional computer. I have some thoughts as to how but I need another couple of opinions to help figure out the intricacies of my project. Will i need extra materials or is this not currently possible?

Smartphones are already fully functional computers.

You are done before you started.

Was there something more you wanted to do?

It depends on what you want to make, exactly.

I suspect that you want to make something very like a desktop PC, for which you will need a monitor and a keyboard at least, and preferably a printer and webcam too. To connect all these you will need some USB or comparable ports. I do not know how you should connect the computers from the phones and these ports.

Seems to be more trouble than its worth

Considering that you can buy a computer today for only a couple hundred $, it doesn’t seem worth the time and expense to retrofit a cell phone to act like a desktop or a laptop computer.
