Is it possible to create a VPN between a Microsoft Client (Win98, WIn2000) and a UNIX box ? Between the 2 there will be 2 routers and a firewall.

Yip, the difficulty of this depends on the firewall software (NAT and ARP tables)

Yes. Use the router, if it is capable, to do VPN Services. I don’t know if UNIX services VPNs….

not in this case. vpn’s are made using the same vpn software end to end (pix to pix). since u only have one firewall a vpn isn’t possible between your clients. other technologies can be used to encrypt the data but a vpn isn’t a viable solution.
