Making DVD of Pictures with Music…

Hi everyone!!
I was just asked by a friend if I could make a DVD of some pictures to be shown at her wedding… I have a DVD burner, but I am wondering what kind of software I should have to beable to do this… Would MS movie Shaker or Maker work??? The pictures will be still images that I will have to scan in and then make kind of like a presentation of it and burn it to a DVD… Is there a way to make a Power point and have it burt to a DVD??? If anyone could give me ideas on this and tell me how easy it is it would be great…. Also she asked how much I would charge and well oviously I have never done this, so what do you think the price should be….
