Manual uninstall for MS Office 97

The user tried to install Office 2000 on a 2 Gig drive (too small), upgrading Office 97. this process uninstalls Office 97 first, but imperfectly. Microsoft gets the blame for this because software should check for sufficient space first. Now I need to manually uninstall Office 97 and Office 2000 before reinstalling Office 97. Its a Thinkpad Pentium 133 MHz with 48 MB RAM.
