MAPI translators

By notatechie ·
I 've recently purchased and am installing a new PC. My old PC has a downloaded program from EBOTNET.com that translates my AOL 5.0 email into MAPI so I can read it etc., on Outlook Express.
I have 3 questions:
1) Does anyone know if ebotnet is still around? Visits to ebotnet.com allow thier homepage to show but all links are broken for support/help.
2)If you know how I can contact them, please let me know.
3)Does anyone know of another "translator"?
All and any advise would be GREATLY appreciated. Please bear in mind I am as my tag says. . not a techie.
Thanks.

Hi,
I don't know if this will suit your needs but AOL put out a program called communicator. It's still not mapi compliant but does give you an outlook like interface and it also gives you the ability to store your email in an archive folder on your personal computer. Hope this helps.

I will check it out. I use a product known as PCInhaler which takes the resumes I receive in emails and "inhales" them into my PCRecruiter database. It requires that it be MAPI. EBOTNET did that and it still works on my old machine but I cannpt seem to get it to transfer to my new PC. Once again, thanks.
