During the course of moving an Exchange
Server 5.5 site, we encountered the
following error:
?
No mapping between account names
and security IDs was done.
Microsoft Windows NT ID no.
0xC0020534
?
The two servers are in different domains;
so we set up a trust relationship between
them.? Afterwards, we followed the steps
outlined in the article “Moving an
Exchange Server to a Different Site”
nge/technote/mvexchng.asp).? According
to the article, just before using the
Mvexsrvr.exe utility, you are to remove the
Event Service if it is installed.? The person
working with the original server removed
the service as written.? However, he
thought that it would be a good idea to
reapply the Service Pack before
proceeding.? At the time, I didn’t see
anything wrong with this suggestion, so I
agreed.
During the reapplication, he encountered
the 0xC0020534 error mentioned above.?
Now, we can’t install or remove anything
without encountering this error. The only
saving grace is that the Exchange Server
seems to still be working.? Email can be
sent and received.? Obviously, we cannot
keep the server in this state. How can we
get past this error?I’ve searched
numerous sites, but I’ve not found
anything that helped solve the problem.?
Any help in this matter is greatly
appreciated.
?
Thanks.
