Marking area for Copy

By mike ·
As a student forever in the learning environment, I often have to cut and paste from doxs. When I insert my cursor and drag to block the portion I want to copy, it works fine as long as the area I want to copy is visible on my screen. WHEN NOT, how can I stop the action from scrolling so fast that I cannot control the area to block? My question is "Is there a way to slow down the mechanism for blocking so I can better control my cursor action when dragging beyond the boundary of the vidsible page?"

There's no way to slow down the scrolling, but the technique that works well is to select or click in front of the first item in the selection. next scroll to the bottom of the block and while holding down the sShift key, click behind the last item.
Everything in between will be selected.
