Max 98 ram SE

I need to run windows 98 on 16 gb ram, that ram limit trick didnt work, and i have 3 sticks of ram in my pc, if there was only 1 then that would be 4gb ram, but im not taking out ram, im not risking that, This is on my 2012 PC (i made this post on my Laptop running win10)

I remember it to be very low. Let’s search for what folk do today.

But first, without tweaks, W98SE will install and run on PCs with [b] 512MB [b]RAM.

-> You didn’t reveal much but for most of us we’ll install this old OS either on appropriate hardware or in VirtualBox.

i had to read more of the other post i read and had to add MaxPhysPage=20000, i changed it from 40000 to 20000 cause during the prossess it having 1 gb ram readable broke it so i made it only allow 512 mb ram readable

I don’t expect anything PCIe connected to have drivers.

You didn’t reveal what the goal is here but for running old W98 apps we did that on VirtualBox.
