I came back from Christmas break today and found that my desktop which I had left at school would not boot properly. It would get past the BIOS screen and this message would appear:

However during the BIOS screen everything comes up as being loaded correctly. I then checked all the cables inside to make sure they were all secure and they checked out. I then went to check out my problem on google.
It seems like I am not the only one that has come across this problem, and yet it also seems that no one has found a valid solution.
One of the things that has been suggested on just about all the sites is that the bios is trying read the hdds as RAID. Although I know my computer is capable of that kind of setup, it is not configured for RAID in the BIOS setup.
Another suggestion was to reset the cmos…that didn’t do anything either.
It was also suggested to try the windows repair disk after reseting the cmos…but it goes right into the “Detecting Array” from the BIOS screen and thats where it freezes.

Windows XP 32bit
1gb ddr2
Two Sata hdds 164gb each

EVGA GeForce 7600GT 256MB
Sound Blaster Audigy2 zs 24-bit
I wanted to add that there is no unusual noises that would suggest something being broken.
