memory problem

By flores ·
Hi,

I have this message on my pc. I have no idea why it?s doing it. My pc turns into blue and saying memory dump on the screen. The message is this.
?The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc00000055, 0xf9925311, 0x00000000). Microsoft Windows NT [v15.1381]. A full dump was not saved. ?

Is there a way to turn this off? Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the Blue Screen of Death

or BSOD for short.

Yes the messages are cryptic, but it looks like one of the more vital components of your operating system has become corrupted and as a result your PC will not boot up.

If you have a bootable floppy or CD you can try bootingfrom it - if it works fine then it is the Operating System.

Winodws NT gave you the chance to make a recovery disk when it was installed - if you have that disk now is the time to use it.

If not, try re-installing the OS.

James,

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, when I turned off my pc and turn it back on. The pc is working again. When I check the event log, that is where I get the message. Thanks a lot.
