Message Board Software

We have decided to add a message board to our Intranet in order to link various tech. departments, and create a simple knowledge base.

I have been put in charge of providing info to decide what Message Board S/W we will use.

Does anybody currently have a message board installed on theri Intranet?

If yes, what message board software is being used?

If you were involved in the install, or administration of it, how did it go?

How is the providers support??

Any potential pitfalls I should know about?
