Microsoft Access 2003 DB Conversion

By tim.meyers ·
Does anyone know how to disable the Convert pop up window when opening a Access 97 DB in Access 2003? Or at least how to disable to Convert option within the window? I am getting raedy to roll out 6000 Office 2003 licenses and need to preserve the Access 97 databases.

Thanks

What do you want to use?

If you don't want to use Acess 2003, then don't install it.

Conversion

by hermanr In reply to Microsoft Access 2003 DB ...

MS Access will always promt you to convert the 97 databases (happens w/ 2000 as well). If you want to preseve the 97 databases, you can create a new db, and link to the 97 tables. However, if you want to use the 97 objects (forms, reports, etc.) then conversion is the only way. Sorry

I didn't even know this was possible (probably because I never opened my eyes and looked!), but this is a great solution to a similar problem we have been having in our department.

Thanks, bern!
