Yes - give another error " Microsoft word cannot install the necassary file due to windows install 'error 1601' " Ok - when selected get another error "Microsoft office word has not been installed for the current user please run setup to install the application"
When trying to install the program get error message " Microsoft office word cannot install the necassary file due to windows installer 'error 1625' thwe installation is forbidden by system policy" contact your sys admin

Prior to this the program was working fine until I tried Kaspersky Lav adware/virus program.

Peter, it would be a good idea...

to remove your email address from your post. It opens you up to sh*tloads of SPAM, as the webcrawlers spot it and put you on however many lists they feed.

If you want to be contacted by email, you can enable Peers to contact you via the Peer messaging function, configurable via your profile.

Have you tried running...

the built in Detect and Repair, available under the Help menu? You might try it from another Office program, provided other programs are opening.

Window Installer failed

by Nichnasowa In reply to Have you tried running...

Get Windows installer box with the following
" The window Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode or the Windows installer is not correctly installed Contacty your support Personnel.."

I even tried to uninstall and was not able to uninstall the Microsoft Office Application due to Windows Ijnstaller not working correctly. Tried various installer version and that didn't help. Issue is only w/ Microsoft Office

This also happens for updates from Microsoft they fail.
