error in tip aug 6

by Passwordchanged In reply to Word-specific questions

"before 2002 if you wanted to change the format of 10 chapter headings scattered throughout your document, you would have to find and change each one individually. "

Not correct. Back in Word 6 you could update styles across a document and in 97 and 2000 you can do search and replaces of styles.

Word X on Mac-FIND & wildcards

by Rick_from_BC In reply to Word-specific questions

Word X.1.4, Mac G4, OS X.2.6, Very experienced user.
Discovered that the wildcard function in Find & Replace is
severely limited relative to Word 2001. The curly brackets {}
are not recognized, i.e. "a{2,12}" should find and highlight
strings of "a" where there are between 2 and 12 a's in a
row. But the search finds each individual "a" and highlights
one "a" at a time.
QUESTION: is it only me, or is it a bug?

Check the formulas box to view formulas - as far as macros, you can see the list if you choose "run macros"

Inserting date and time from a command button

by onelap8 In reply to Access-specific questions

I have an access form where I need to insert the current date and time into two text boxes (restime & resdate)when a command button (cmdres)is clicked. I know this can be done with VB but I have no idea where to begin any ideas?

Set Date and Time in VB

by dbwriter In reply to Inserting date and time f ...

Create an "On Click" event.
Then set resdate equal to Date and restime equal to Time:

Private Sub cmdres_Click()
Me!restime = Time
Me!resdate = Date
End Sub

Each time the command button is clicked, the current date and time will appear.
