Alright, a computer died, HD was good, but still dead. I got a new PC for the lady, and I have recovered all of her data files, now….her Outlook files are vitally important. Contacts not so much, but the tons of e-mails, release forms, saved documents etc…I have researched it, checked the temporary folders, with hidden folders enabled, I find Application Data/Microsoft Office, but I cannot locate these .PST files. Anyone know how I can take the new Computer, with new XP…and mirror her Outlook on there excactly as it was before. Data/Windows style, not wanting to use any programs.
Some places can do HD recovery, where they take an old HD, and mirror it onto a new HD. I would love to do that, but not sure how to go about the process. Norton Ghost, seems to only work on the client machine it is installed.
I downloaded Norton Ghost, installed it on one of my workstations, made a copy of the HD, but not sure how to re-instate it onto the new PC.
Perhaps installing Norton on the new PC, then doing a recovery, using the file on my workstation, I saved? Any thoughts?
Thanks
Michael
