Do you know what the job prospects are for a person who is competent with the above mentioned certification but who is a non-US resident seeking for a job in the US?

Hii,

Certification definetely does help, its a direct indication of your technical merits, however you being non us resident will not affect in most cases, in getting a job. What matters is your knowledge and your relavant experience, as the economy is down and jobs are difficult to get, ur prepardness in accepting a good job rather than concentrating on huge paypack would be a good way to start with. Again do u have all the relavant knowledge & skills relavant to MS SQL Server does matterlike migrating, porting, tuning, size of databases you handled etc.,

this are just a few suggestions based on my recruting experience working for a silicon staffing company sometime back.

Search for jobs you are eligible for

You can search job listings at sites like:

www.Dice.com
www.Monster.com
www.ITMoonlighter.com

and search for those positions that can provide placement to non-US residents.
