Microsoft Word 2007 won’t allow me to use “copy” and “paste”

Just all of a sudden, I cannot copy and paste in the word document.
Maybe the “copy” option is available, but it never allows me to paste anything.
I even have to type in the URL of a webpage when I’m writing a report paper.
That’s is insane.
Does anyone get any idea?
