Short answer? You can't

MS Word is an element of the Office Suite and is a fee based product. Check your computer closely- you may have a product installed already called "Works" that includes a word processor.

The only downloadable from MS is a reader- but you won't get teh functionality you need to write your resume.

Check with your local employment office- they may have the tools that you need to create a resume and save it to disk.

Also check local libraries. They may offer a similar functionality.

Try WordPad in Start-> All Programmes-> Accessories-> WordPad. It is a reasonably funtional word processor (I have been know to write documentation in it) that will save your file in Rich Text Format. I actually use the RTF version of my resume more frequently than the Word.doc version.

There are other alternatives out there- Google on "word processor free download".

Good luck!

Download Open Office

This is quite similar to MS Office, and you can save files in MS format. Probably 99% compatible. And it's totally free!
