I have a very mysterious problem. I have no errors on my HDD, have very carefully checked all other software installed and done a process of elimination. To do this I have low level formatted the HDD, then after fdsik and format, re-installed windows Millennium Edition and checked to see if the problem occurs with any other program. The problem is Microsoft Word 2000. This is the only program this happens with. What happens is when I open MS Word and not necesarily get to begin typing anything, it shuts down my computer. Has anyone herd of this happening before? At least can anyone suggest a cure for this ailment? It is rather frustrating and anoying.
