How can I transfer all the data, including operating system, and all settings from one drive to another. The data resides on a 5GB HD. I would like to transfer it to an 80GB HD that is already installed on the system.

There is a great new program called "PC relocator" that uses either your USB Ports or Serial Ports and a software install on both the old & new PC's that will guide you with migrating your System Settings (including Internet & email) Programs and Data Files. The software will tell you what can & can't transfer based upon the operating systems and various other settings on both PC's.
I have found that in most case you can plug both HDDs into another PC with its own opertaing system and then just copy the lot over.
Most operating systems will NOT allow you to copy all the files for itself while it is running, but when you access it from another operating system it is usually no problem.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
