I need to change Exchange over to a powerful machine with a Raid Controller, making it Raid 5. The new PC will have the same IP. However, I need to change the organization and site name due to company name changes. What is the best and safest way to do this?

Well, you're not going to be able to do this easily and it may be impossible for you depending on how much directory data you have. Since the Organization and Site names are hard-coded into the databases and cannot be started under a different Organization and Site name, you will have to do exports of everything. First do a directory export and get into a CSV file your mailboxes, distribution lists, and custom recipients. Then, all mailboxes and public folders will have to be exported out to PST files (a very daunting task). I reccomend using the ExMerge utility for the mailboxes, but this won't work for public folders. You'll have to export public folders manually by logging into a client and physically copying the data to a PST. Finally, once Exchange is reinstalled with the new Organization and Site names on the new machine, you'll have to modify the CSV file to use it. Open it in Excel and find every instance of the old Organization/Site name and change it to the new name. Then do the import to
I think the best option is probably going to be the Microsoft InterOrg Syncronization Tool because it is made to replicate Exchange servers across organizational boundaries.
