migrating Outook 2000 profile

I am migrating from Windows Professional and Office 2000 to XP Professional and Office XP 2003. This process includes wiping the users hard drive completely clean and installing the new OS and Office Suite. Before starting I would like to migrate the users profile to a “storage” computer or CD and then install the new software. My question; I there a written procedure in migrating the users profile from one computer to a new computer over the network? I have done this before but cannot remember the steps.
