Morning. In the article on Registry Care, the instructions are to go to: Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tool, System Information, open the Tools menu, and click Registry Checker. http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article/0,aid,86903,pg,3,00.asp There is no "Registry Checker" on this XP Home machine. There also is no "chkdsk" or CheckDisk under System Tools. Were's my stuff? Thanx

You're right. I missed the part about ME & 98. I loaded the Tools for XP, but they hid themselves in a secret place and I'm still trying to find them. I did find a utility for XP that runs a CHKDSK and a FAST defrag when it's activated. Thanx again.

XP Home vs XP Pro. Just what in **** was Microsoft thinking???
Do you ever get the feeling that Gates and his boys couldn't organize a good drunk if they were in the middle of a brewery??? And if you think that's bad take a gander at Media Center Edition. They say RTFM but half of th information is missing. It's supposed to be written by geniuses for execution by idiots but Microsoft decided it might be fun to try it the other way. What a cluster fu*k!!!
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
