Mixing 97 & 2000

By PCollins ·
I don't want to be force over from using Office 97 to Office 2000 but one of my my third-party vendors has recently updated one of his programs to create an Access 2000 MDB that can't be read from 97.

Is it therefore possible to have say the fullOffice 97 Pro system on my PC and yet have access (forgive the pun) to Access 2000 at the same time?

Please advise,

Paul

Yes, it can be done. Here's Microsoft's answer:

Simply choose the custom setup when installing office 2000. Change the directory and add a sub directory called 2000. Make sure and keep the older version of office when prompted.
