    I want to be able to leverage users own Text message plan to automatically send emergency alert SMS to thei users selected contacts without using a 3rd party service like Twilio to push the message, similar like is done by the SOS app. Does anyone know how this is done?

      did u find anything out? im looking to do something that is completely different but it requires control of phone function but more geared towards the camera. The answer to your question might be similar to mine so just hoping to touch bases with u as a developer
