Mobile Web Filter

By lloyd.smith ·
Currently looking at options of preventing users from accessing non work related websites (such as facebook etc) on our allocated work devices.

Does anyone have any suggestions or past experience of best practises for this?

When you say...

When you say "Mobile Web Filter" do you mean like smart phone (Blackberry, iPhone etc)?

I believe that using a BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) you can forward all web traffic through your network, thus it is filtered by what ever you have on your company network...

As far as iPhones go, I don't have a clue. I assume there must be some sort of product out there that does what you request...

Yes

Yeah, we haven't yet decided upon which handset to go for, so I would be looking at iPhone, Blackberry, Android, and the new Windows phones as well.

With BES does this work remotely, such as when the user is away from the network, in a scenario whereby they have connected to a wireless router and are running through a different network?

Will this affect performance in terms of upload/download speed of data?

Thanks for your help and feedback with this.
