    Modem Resource Conflict

    I am getting an error that reads:

    1006 modem resources conflict…..change configuration.

    What is the error message telling me.

      My first reaction would be to right-click on My Computer, properties. Select the Device Manager tab at the top. Look for the exclamation mark (!) icon on the left, double-click on that offending device, and see what it has to say. Chances are itsconflicting with another device by IRQ or address. Then you get to figure out a way to make them talk nicely to each other.
