The idiots who have been posting all over TR today need to be removed.

I sent them an email about how the company is being promoted on TR, not knowing if perhaps they had hired someone to do some 'online marketing' and he/she was just wasting their time and money.

Shortly after, they reposted here asking for web promotional advice, to which I offered site positioning advice instead.

My last reply to their BS was a simple FO and have noticed everyone else is just as pissed to see this here.

Are you guys on this one already?

Just wanted to bring it to your attention.

We're working on it...

by Jay Garmon Contributor In reply to movers_la@yahoo.com.

...but we've got so many irons in the fire right now that, until Monday, we're just going to rely on your ability to skewer them verbally until we can exact a more formal punishment.

[Sigh] This is why we need citizen-moderators.

NO sweat

by Oz_Media In reply to We're working on it...

I figured you guys are hands-on enough to see what's going on, I know that cancelling meberships isn't your fav or even effective in most cases either.

A lot of people are speaking out against them so I just wanted to let you know the scene if you've been too busy to notice.

No I don't call the cops on friends, I'm not a rat.

Thanks Jay, you and Shawn have been showing a new hands-on style of addressing issues that has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated, keep up the good work, and thank you!

Citizen Moderators

by Oz_Media In reply to We're working on it...

I am able to take a fair approach when it comes to mediaing lttle tiffs here and wouldn't mind helping out if needed.

Obviously if you are looking for volounteers, my hand is up, but cannot be counted on 24/7, not without a paycheque anyway. I have to do the odd JOB too ya know!

citmods

by apotheon In reply to Citizen Moderators

If the Powerz whut Be here at TR desire it, I'll volunteer time to help moderate. You (the site admins) should be warned, however, that making me a moderator is a good way to shut me up somewhat. While that may seem like a good thing at first, it will certainly cut back on the amount of vitriol I'll be willing to spew, which can in turn lead to more links to your site, since less controversy might get stirred up. Then again, that might be true of anyone with a rudimentary set of scruples that gets a mod position, I suppose.

Perhaps more importantly, while I am willing to take on a "job" as a citmod, I also won't be offended if you don't give me that job. I know, from experience elsewhere, how much of a pain in the arse it can be to try to responsibly moderate a public forum, particularly if it has aspirations of professionalism.

Another Goober In the Grass

by BFilmFan In reply to We're working on it...

I am sure this is a University of Michigan student, who thoughtfully asked how to steal software. I, as usual, had to leave a lovely reply:

Still Another one

Frankly, I think the cops might be interested in this weasel. He's offering to commit a felony and get paid to do it via a wire transfer!

Not my style

by Oz_Media In reply to Still Another one

I am not a cop caller, they usually forget why they came and end up arresting me instead.

I s arrested once for reporting when a girl got beat up in the road outside the studio in New West. They took one look at me in a leather vest and Daytons and arrested me for having CD's framed on my walls under suspicionof theft.

Sure I got out but not with an 'oooops, sorry about that.' or anything. They were pissed off at me because I said I would be out in that night (which they laughed at) and it took an hour before I was quickly ordered released.

Mind you now I am away from Vancouver bulls, it is a different ballgame with RCMP, they really are pretty cool and you get respect for showing respect.

But I usually let these people go, life will catch up to him, it WILL and it DOES every time!

Usually the fall is much harder when they are left to fester a bit.
